Life Groups
A loving community awaits you at one of our home groups! Each one has its own personality so you are sure to find a group that feels like home. The all have a good time putting into practice the central values of the Vineyard. Groups meet throughout the week in private homes and at the church facility. There is most likely one near you. Welcome to the Vineyard
Have you wondered who we are, where we are going, and why we do things the way we do? Your answers await you at our Welcome to the Vineyard meeting. There you will receive a basic introduction to the values and vision of the Lafayette Vineyard. You will also meet other newcomers, make new friendships and learn how easy it is to get connected. Welcome to the Vineyard is offered once a quarter, usually on Sunday evening. Contact Amanda Allen at the church.
Celebration Meals
On the last Sunday of every month, we have a time of food and fellowship—an opportunity to develop and deepen relationships over a meal. We meet together immediately after the morning service. Everyone is welcome.
Wednesday Night Youth
Real church for youth—we worship together, learn about God together, and we figure out how to do this thing called life together. It’s all about being real with each other and finding some answers. This time is for Junior or Senior High, Wednesdays 6:30pm to 8:30pm in the Youth Room. Contact Chris or Meagan Clare.
Youth Mission/Ministry Trip
Go boldly with God into places you have never been. Guaranteed to change your life, someone else’s, and give you a new perspective on the planet! If you are 15 or older and are serious about doing something significant with your life..this is where you start. Younger than 15? Catch us in the future…Contact Chris or Meagan Clare.
Sunday School
Kids love to be in our children's ministry—good teaching and great fun. And if you love kids, you can be either a teacher or helper in our children's ministry. When you join the team, you get blessed twice—first by the kids and then by God. Contact Natalie or Tyson Meyers.
Sunday Middle School Class
Interactive, fun, with great teaching materials—if you are middle school, you’ll want to plug in. if you are an adult who wants to invest in the future of the church, this is a great place to begin. Contact Chris or Meagan Clare.
Vacation Bible School
If you are serious about clowning around, come be a part of our VBS. It is always a blast and it last one week. You can make a difference now as the preparation takes most of a year. You can kids with crafts and activities that engage their creative minds and point them toward Jesus as they have incredible FUN! Contact Natalie Meyers.
Outreaches
Step out of your own little world and help a fellow human or two. All you need is concern for others and a bit of time to give. God an idea? Bring it on! As long as it doesn’t include spiders. Or snakes. Or Turkish prison camps…You get the idea. Contact Chris or Meagan Clare
Other Opportunities
We also have Bible studies, discipleship classes, mens and womens ministries, pastoral counseling, healing prayer, short-term missions trips and several intercessory prayer groups.
Helping During Services
You can be a Sunday School helper or teacher (see Natalie Meyers), part of the greeting team (see Carl Breaux), part of the Coffee bar team (see Amanda Allen), a part of worship or sound (see David Peck), or part of the healing ministry (see Pat McDowell).
